So what else can we do…
Essentially my goal has always been to make the world more beautiful. Originally as a designer, I now do this as a maker, and the things we produce should be kept and treasured. I don’t do this alone. My team are all superstars with a great mix of strengths. Together we can make almost anything.
You may have seen our 2023 desktop calendar (designed by Leap) that this year won two Indigo Gold Awards. This is a challenging mix of design, print and finishing that uses almost all of our knowledge and skill. We could make a simple calendar, but we don’t, we make something that we want to be proud of. And somehow every year the calendar improves. It can certainly be tough but we work hard to get it right. We believe everyone else can see this too.
In the last 12 months we’ve made awards for Common Curiosity and PepsiCo using Smile Plastics recycled yoghurt pots, cosmetic bottles and ocean plastics. We’ve tested, prototyped, tested again, learnt to cut, glue and polish and then print (that might have been the easiest bit) onto many many different substrates.
We’ve worked for Selfridges twice, developing complex layered retail displays for luxury products and installed them successfully in tricky conditions. We’ve worked on projects across the UK, Ireland, France, Germany, USA and Dubai and delivered other work to all corners of the globe.
We’ve produced prototype drinks cans for pitches, wrapped shipping containers, made event boxes for Google & YouTube, covered the windows of Harvey Nicholls and even made props for the recent What3Words TV advert.
